Because of the many questions regarding running the CncSimulator with inches we have decided to put up some info and tips on this subject. We have made a turn tool directory to use with inches that can be downloaded to replace the millimeter based file included in the installation.

We have limited experience in inch CNC programming. This info is based on scaling all values by 25,4. Any user suggestions or ideas on using the CncSimulator in inch mode are welcome. Depending on your suggestions, we might consider adding features or settings for inch programming in the next update.

Simulate turning in inch.
1. Download the inch Turn tool directory .
2.Rename directory t_tools located in the installation directory/folder of the CncSimulator.
3. Unzip the files included in the zip t_tools_inch.zip to CncSimulator´s install directory.
4. Start the CncSimulator and open the sample program inch.nc located in install directory.


Common things to remember when working in inch.

DO NOT SET CNCSIMULATOR TO INCH BY THE SETTING UNDER SETTINGS -> SIMULATION SETTINGS!!

Set the part size in inch, under Simulate -> Detail Settings.

Under Settings -> Machine Time Settings, input the value of inch/min in the Rapid speed (mm/min) input box.
